The Program Quality Director (PQD) is one of the three elected District trio officers, responsible for the quality of the District's education and recognition programs. The PQD coordinates five chair teams, each owning a specific domain:
The five PQD chair teams
Education Team
Education Chair, Pathways Chair, Trainers Academy Chair — delivery of TLI sessions, Pathways enrollment + completion support, and the pipeline that develops internal trainers.
Speech Contests
Speech Contest Chair — coordinates the District's contest season from club qualifying contests through the District finals at the spring conference.
District Conference
Conference Chair — runs the multi-month planning of the annual District Conference (venue, registration, education sessions, contests, recognition).
Moments of Truth
Moments of Truth Chair — supports area directors as they run guided MOT assessments with their clubs.
Club Ambassadors
Ambassadors Chair — runs the Club Ambassador visit program, verifies visit reports, and awards the Club Ambassador pin and Ambassador of the Year.
How the PQD's teams work together
The PQD meets monthly with each chair (or jointly with the Education Team) to track progress against the District Success Plan and the Annual Education Program. Chairs support each other's events — TLI rounds in particular pull contributions from across all five teams.
Reporting line
The PQD reports to the District Director and to the District Executive Committee (DEC). District goals related to education, contests, and recognition roll up through the PQD's monthly DEC reports.
Joining a chair team
Chair appointments are made each spring by the incoming PQD for the upcoming program year. If you're interested in serving, talk to the current PQD — see the Leadership page for the current contact. Recruiting typically begins in March; appointments are finalized by June.
