District 84's calendar centers on a handful of recurring events — the annual District Conference, two cycles of Speech Contests, two cycles of TLI, and several program-year milestones in between. This section is the index.
Annual highlights
District Conference
The District Conference is the year's largest event — a multi-day gathering with workshops, the district contest finals, the District Director's gala, and the recognition of clubs and members at the close of the program year. Speech contests
The contest season runs roughly September through April. Contests progress through four levels — club, area, division, district — with district winners advancing to the international level. Categories rotate by season (International Speech, Evaluation, Humorous, Table Topics). See Speech Contest Calendar for dates.
Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI)
TLI is the district's officer-training event. It runs twice each program year — typically a summer round (for the first-half officer term) and a winter round (for the second-half). Attendance is the foundation of the Seven of Seven incentive and is what makes a club eligible for Distinguished Club Program credit. See TLI for the current schedule.
