The District 84 Speakers Bureau is a roster of district members who are available to speak at outside events — civic groups, corporate trainings, school assemblies, conferences. The Bureau is one of Toastmasters' most direct community-impact programs.
What our speakers offer
- Topics in communication fundamentals — overcoming speaking anxiety, presentation skills, executive presence
- Leadership topics — running effective meetings, giving feedback, navigating change
- Personal development — confidence, networking, career storytelling
- Speaker-specific expertise — many of our speakers bring deep professional knowledge in their day-job area
How requests work
- Submit a request via the contact form (audience size, date, topic interest, format)
- The Bureau Chair reviews and matches your event with available speakers from the roster
- Direct introduction — Bureau Chair connects you with the speaker for scheduling and content alignment
- Honoraria are optional and negotiated between you and the speaker; many speakers volunteer their time for nonprofit and educational venues
How to join the Bureau
Open to District 84 members who have completed at least Level 3 in any Pathways path and have delivered 5+ speeches publicly. Submit a speaker profile (bio, topics, sample video) to the Bureau Chair. Speakers commit to honoring at least 2 booking requests per year while on the roster.
