The Toastmasters–Rotary Alliance is a formal cooperation between Toastmasters International and Rotary International. District 84 actively coordinates with regional Rotary clubs to put both organizations' members in front of each other's audiences.
What the alliance offers
- Welcome each other as guests. Joint meetings between local Toastmasters and Rotary clubs introduce both audiences to the other organization's format and benefits.
- Speaking opportunities. Rotary clubs frequently need outside speakers — Toastmasters members are a natural fit, and the practice is exactly what Pathways projects ask for.
- Community service collaboration. Rotary's local service focus pairs well with Toastmasters' communication training. Joint projects amplify both.
- Professional and social networking. Rotary members bring different professional networks; Toastmasters members bring presentation polish.
Toastmasters courses on Rotary's Learning Center
Toastmasters International has developed eight educational courses for Rotarians and Rotaractors, available on Rotary International's Learning Center in nine languages. The courses introduce Toastmasters' communication and leadership techniques to Rotary members without requiring Toastmasters membership — frequently a first step toward joining a local club.
