League of Volunteers

Toastmasters doesn't work if we don't have the volunteers needed to put on the programs throughout the year. The League of Volunteers (LOV) recognizes the hard work and dedication that people who are volunteering at their club and the district to make our programs effective. Earn the required points to receive the LOV pin and Superstar Points for your club.

How the League of Volunteers Works

Toastmasters doesn't work without volunteers. The League of Volunteers (LOV) recognizes the time and energy our members give to clubs and the district throughout the year.

Level 1

25 pts earned

Plus ≥ 10 in-club and ≥ 15 outside-club.

Level 2 ★

50 pts earned

Same floor rules — earn more points to reach Level 2.

  1. Step 1

    Submit

    Log each volunteer activity throughout the year. Provide a date and any context.

  2. Step 2

    Validate

    Your VP of Education validates in-club activities. For outside activities, name a Point of Contact — the LOV Chair will verify with them.

  3. Step 3

    Earn

    The LOV Chair gives the final sign-off. Earned points count toward your Level.

    Club Officer — Round 1 TLI Completed

    Attend the Round 1 Toastmasters Leadership Institute as an elected club officer.

    Attend the Round 2 Toastmasters Leadership Institute as an elected club officer.

    Attend TLI (Not an Officer) — Round 1

    Attend the Round 1 TLI as a non-officer member.

    Attend the Round 2 TLI as a non-officer member.

    Club Parliamentarian

    Serve as parliamentarian for a club business meeting.

    Active Club Member Mentor

    Mentor a new or struggling member through an extended engagement.

    HPL / DTM Committee Member

    Serve as a committee member for another member's HPL or DTM project.

    Special Events Organizer or Chair

    Plan/lead a special club event (open house, milestone celebration, etc.).

    Special Events Committee Member

    Serve on the committee for a special club event.

    Club Newsletter Editor

    Edit and publish the club newsletter throughout the year.

    Maintain Club Website

    Keep the club website up-to-date (schedules, events, content).

    Maintain Club Social Media

    Manage and post regularly on the club's social media platform.

    Contest Master / Chair / Chief Judge

    Serve in a leadership role for a club contest. (Log each contest as a separate entry.)

    Serve a meeting role or deliver a speech at a club other than your home club.
